Brotherly Love Bootcamp

When the bickering between Lindsay and Cole recently reached an all time high, Ken and I decided to enlist them in brotherly/sisterly love bootcamp: We made them share a room for a week. Lindsay had to descend from her private upstairs princess suite to the dungeon—her brothers’ room! She wasn’t even allowed to enter the ‘royal chamber’. This was extremely difficult for her since she rarely ventures out of these quarters for more than a meal or piano practice. She even had to do her reading in the presence of her loud, obnoxious brothers.

The end result? Two kids who are much more courteous and conscientious toward each other. They even chose to play a game together tonight, and were laughing together!

Next time I’m having trouble loving a brother or sister, maybe I should send myself to brotherly love bootcamp, and walk a mile beside them.
